Raley Field will still feature peanuts and Cracker Jacks for baseball fans next year, but the food offerings will throw them some figurative curveballs as well.
Details are still being finalized, but Sacramento River Cats officials said they will overhaul stadium eats for the 2017 season.
“It’s going to be a pretty dramatic conversion,” said Jay Kudla, a vice president of food and beverage operations for Round Rock, Texas-based RS3. The firm is consulting with the River Cats on the overhaul, which covers everything from hiring a stadium chef to redesigning the food stands to developing a new menu. One change: Don’t call them “concession” stands anymore.
